Drawing Experience Class (10 Weeks) with Jess Portsmouth T3
Description
Discover drawing in a playful, relaxed and experimental way. This creative 10-week class invites adults to explore a wide variety of drawing materials, including charcoal, graphite, soft pastels, coloured pencils, markers and more. Each week offers a new creative experience, giving you the freedom to experiment with unfamiliar materials, explore fresh ideas and discover different ways of making art without pressure or expectation.
You will be introduced to each week’s materials and techniques through demonstrations, examples and guided creative projects. Jess will support you throughout the artwork-making process while encouraging you to interpret each activity in your own way. Some weeks may explore expressive mark-making, colour, texture, mixed media, unusual drawing tools, imaginative prompts or new approaches to familiar subjects.
The focus is on curiosity, creative confidence and enjoying the experience of drawing in a friendly and supportive group. There is no expectation that your artwork needs to look realistic or match anyone else’s. Mistakes, experimentation and unexpected results are all part of the process.
By the end of the course, you will have experienced a broad range of drawing materials and creative approaches, developed greater confidence in experimenting, and completed a collection of unique artworks that reflect your own ideas and style.
This class is perfect for adults who:
Have always wanted to try drawing but feel nervous about starting.
Want to experiment with different materials without buying everything themselves.
Prefer a relaxed, social and creative experience rather than formal lessons.
