Adults Foundational Art Program with Kelly Joy

Have you always wanted to draw or paint but never quite known where to start? Or maybe you used to make art and have been missing it ever since?

Join local artist Kelly Joy for a relaxed and welcoming 10-week program designed for beginners and anyone ready to reconnect with their creativity. Each week you'll build confidence in foundational drawing and painting skills, learning to really see, loosen up and trust your own hand.

This term we're exploring the portrait and the human figure. Together we'll play with line, colour, gesture and expression, trying out different materials and approaches as we discover what the face and body can reveal.

Just as important as the art is the company. These sessions are a chance to slow down, enjoy the simple pleasure of making something with your hands, and connect with creative, like-minded people in our community.

If you're feeling a little nervous, that's completely normal and you're very welcome here. The studio is a warm, encouraging space, free from competition and comparison, tucked away in the heart of the Happymess House in its new location on Hyde Street, Bellingen.

Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to have a go. We'll take care of the rest.
