Step into a delightful world of creativity as we explore advanced mixed media techniques designed to bring new life, joy, and sparkle to classroom work.

This workshop empowers teachers with a rich toolkit of approaches that help young artists go beyond the basics, layering complexity and imagination into every piece.

Together, we’ll uncover the art of embellishment, texture, gilding, embossing and transfers, along with strategies for building multi-layered, textured, and intricate designs. Participants will also discover how to incorporate iridescence, sparkle, and duotones—transforming ordinary projects into extraordinary, shimmering expressions of creativity.

One of the most common challenges in the classroom comes when a child says, “I’m done.” In this session, we’ll explore how to respond by offering a treasure box of delightful techniques and materials that inspire children to revisit, refine, and expand on their ideas. These strategies nurture patience, perseverance, and curiosity through revisiting and refining their work.

This is a hands-on, joyful workshop where teachers will experiment with materials, learn practical methods for classroom use, and discover how to weave advanced techniques into  work  that feel both accessible and inspiring.
