Advancing skills in Botanical Printing

This is a full day practical workshop in botanical printing, otherwise known as eco print. You will explore the alchemy between plant tannins and metal mordants to create stunning leaf prints on cellulose fabric. This is an advanced technique. Ideally participants will have some prior experience of working with natural dyes, although this is not a pre-requisite as full instructions will be given. All materials, dyes, equipment and gluten free morning tea are provided. Participants are to bring a varied selection of fresh leaves and flowers, and rubber gloves.
