Advancing the Ten Commandments in Arkansas Schools: A Strategy Conference for Family, Faith-leaders, Legislators, Educators and Community Leaders
Event description
"We've not been successful keeping guns out of our schools, but somehow we've seen a measure of success keeping God out of our schools... that day has ended." Rev. Arthur L. Hunt, Jr., National Day of Prayer., ARK
The time to advance the Ten Commandments in Arkansas schools is urgent. On April 7, 2025, Arkansas passed the law requiring schools to post the Ten Commandments in all classrooms, which Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed into law.
Up now are the people who know this is good, and we must organize and advance the work to have these postings done in the schools as soon as possible.
THE VISION
On Monday, July 28, 2025, a strategy session and conference will convene in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where the leadership team connects with the National Day of Prayer and others to advance the work with proven tactics.
We are current prepping to put out 1,000 Yard Signs: We the People of God stating, "As for Me and My House... We are Supporting The 10 Commandments in Arkansas Schools." Donations (of $10 or more) here will help us to move this initiative across the state.
Under the leadership oversight of National Day of Prayer leader, Rev. Arthur L. Hunt, Jr., along with Rev. Jesse Turner with Pastors on Patrol (POP™) Mentoring Movement, this all invite is for representation from all 75 Arkansas Counties to attend and get informed and equipped to move this in the most assertive and timely process. In addition, legislators and faith-based and community leaders in Pine Bluff and Jefferson County, along educators are leading the way.
Prayers will be prayed strategically for 75 counties. Leaders will pray for their cities, parents, children, the school board leaders, superintendents, elected officials, and all the participants who are advancing this assignment.
Prayers will be prayed for the legislators, the Governor, the media, and key agencies that desire to see this advance in a most timely way.
Why the National Day of Prayer Task Force is Advancing the 10 Commandments in Prayer and Placement of Posters in Every School in the State of Arkansas
July 1, 2025: Having a prayer organization and organism that serves the nation in times when prayer is acknowledged as the ‘main’ voice of inclusion is the motivation in our support and advancement of the 10 Commandments in Arkansas. Below, outlines how we are doing it. Please pray for and go with us.
Background and Timeline:
April 7, 2025: while in session at the Governor’s Faith Initiative the Arkansas, the Arkansas House of Representatives passed Senate Bill 433, requiring the display of the Ten Commandments in all public school and state-funded building classrooms. The bill, now Act 573, also mandates the display of "In God We Trust". This legislation has sparked controversy and legal challenges regarding the separation of church and state. The National Day of Prayer (NDP) has been here and knows that prayer is the key.
On May 1, the National Day of Prayer 2025 at the State Capitol Observance, State leader, Rev. Arthur L. Hunt, Jr., placed the 10 Commandments as a top prayer point for the day in an effort to advance the legislation to a high regard in the prayer agenda. Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders was present to speak and give support. Rev. Hunt invited Rev. Jesse Turner from the city of Pine Bluff to join NDP in moving the legislation to mobilization of the placement of the 10 Commandment posters in schools across the 75 counties in the state. Rev. Turner who represents Pastors on Patrol (POP™) Mentoring Movement have developed and implemented successful strategies getting the “In God We Trust” posters in Pine Bluff Schools and inside schools in Jefferson County. Also attending was Louisiana’s Pastor Charles L. Johnson on site to share how the first state to pass legislation is advancing the work.
May—June: Each Month at the Governor’s Faith Initiative’s meetings, progress and updates on how the strategy is advancing were shared by Rev. Hunt and Rev. Turner.
July 3, 2025: Rev. Hunt and Rev. Turner held a Press Conference in Pine Bluff to announce the July 28, 2025 Pine Bluff, “Advancing the Ten Commandments in Arkansas Schools: A Strategy Conference for Family, Faith-leaders, Legislators, Educators and Community Leaders”
The press conference was successful, and all five Arkansas television news media covered the event. The Pine Bluff Commercial was first to publish the impact of the work from Pine Bluff and how getting representation from all 75 counties to be in Pine Bluff on July 28, 2025 for prayer and training individuals who serve in faith, public or elected officials, educators, family, media and anyone who wants to attend to strategize and implement placement of posters in schools with the highest measure of success. Having a national prayer task force is strong inclusion bringing ultimate success.
Up now, we are getting partners and resources to advance the July 28, Strategy Conference. Registration is at http://arkansas10.today/ or can be done in person at The Reynolds Center in Pine Bluff. For partnership engagement, please contact Rev. Arthur L. Hunt, Jr. at: 870.623.8179.
