Event description

Does advertising have a responsibility to tell a better story about women? And if it’s going to change, how?

Advertising is powerful stuff. It shapes and reflects our culture. In Australia, that’s a culture where one woman each week dies at the hands of a current or former partner. So, can advertising help to change this?

In this industry conversation, led by Women’s Health Victoria, have your say on how to improve gender equality in advertising. Your voice will inform a framework for change to be recommended to the Victorian Government.

Bringing together leaders from across the industry, we’ll explore what gender equality in advertising might look like, the barriers to change, and the benefits it might bring for brand, business and society.

A panel discussion and Q&A, followed by group conversations.

Chair:

Jo Stanley, media commentator and ambassador for The Line campaign

Panellists:

Gayle While, CEO of Clemenger BBDO

Sarah McGregor, Creative Director of Cummins & Partners

Ben Knighton, Head of Group Brand, NAB

Tim Burrowes, Founder and Content Director of Mumbrella

Refreshments provided.

Registration essential, by 15 November 2019.

Places are limited. Please limit tickets to 1-3 delegates per organisation.
