Amidst continuing federal uncertainty and a recent shift in state politics, now is a critical time to build momentum in our fight to end homelessness advocacy. Given the complexity of the political landscape, the Virginia Housing Alliance has you covered with all the tools and tactics for successful advocacy.
On September 22nd, VHA is holding a virtual Advocacy 101 for homeless service providers in all roles across the commonwealth. This training is made possible by the CoC Leads Network. Topics covered will include:
An overview of the federal and state legislative processes
Compliance tips for nonprofits that receive federal funding
Tips for effective messaging and meeting legislators
Attendance is free, but registration is required. The event will be recorded and made available to registrants along with supplemental materials.
