Collaborating with policymakers to embed climate education in higher education
Online Event
Event description
Learn from student leaders from around the world about how to collaborate with policymakers to shape national level policy for embedding climate education in the formal curricula of higher education institutions.
In this 2-hour workshop you will:
- Learn from experiences and good practices of student sustainability leaders who engaged in policy advocacy.
- Get support from speakers and other participants to address your challenges related to advocacy.
- Hear how you can get involved in the Youth and Education project - a collaboration among UNEP, UNESCO and Students Organizing for Sustainability (SOS) International, as well as the UNESCO WHEC2022 Youth Strategy. By joining, you can get continued support beyond this workshop to get active or deepen your existing advocacy work. Find out more and register here to participate.
The outcomes of this workshop will feed into a student manifesto that will be presented to policy makers at the UNESCO World Higher Education Conference, 18-20 May.
