This workshop is for families of children with disability who want to learn more about how to advocate for their child at school.
If you want more support for your child at school but feel unsure how to start the conversation or what you can reasonably ask for, then this workshop will help you start the conversation.
You’ll get practical information to build your skills and confidence to advocate for your child and build a positive relationship with the school.
Our professional facilitators are parents of children with disability who have personal experience advocating for their children. They understand the challenges you may be facing and have insight and knowledge to support you.
This workshop looks at:
- Children’s rights in education
- Reasonable adjustments: what they are and what you can ask for
- School processes
- Student support plans
