XGRIDS Lixel L3 Roadshow — Sydney: hands-on with Australia's first L3

The first XGRIDS Lixel L3 in Australia is in Sydney for one afternoon, and you can scan with it.

AECT founder Jacob Lee is bringing the L3 — XGRIDS' new flagship handheld SLAM LiDAR scanner, launched on 15 September 2026 — to Rhodes for a two-hour hands-on session. Free, registration required, numbers limited by the room.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE ROOM

• Live capture of the room and the street outside, processed and georeferenced on the device before we sit back down. No laptop, no upload.

• The point cloud reviewed on the L3's 4.3-inch screen: RGB, elevation, intensity and quality views, clipping and measurement.

• The L3 next to the Lixel L2 Pro and K2, so you can pick the right unit for your workflow: precision handheld, long-range and mounted, or everyday sub-1 kg.

• The processing side on an AECT workstation: LixelStudio (coordinate transformation, floor plans, exports to .las, .rcp and .e57) and LCC (3D Gaussian Splatting and Scan-to-BIM into Revit).

• Hands-on time: scan it yourself, bring a site problem, and if you want to check the numbers, bring your own control.

• Pre-orders on the day: an AU$2,000 deposit holds a first-shipment unit for October delivery. Pricing is quoted for your configuration after a short conversation.

THE NUMBERS

5 mm relative accuracy (1σ) and 2 cm absolute with the built-in RTK · three 4K HDR cameras · 4.3-inch, 1,000-nit display · about 2.5 kg · one walk produces a true-colour point cloud, a photorealistic 3D Gaussian Splatting scene and a mesh. The unit on the bench is the 32-channel / 120 m configuration, one of nine first-batch L3s worldwide.
