After a blockbuster 2025 on Larrakia Country in Darwin, we are heading west to Rubibi/Broome for another gathering of trailblazing voices from our sector.

This year's theme is THE NEXT ERA - Leadership | Ownership | The Future

For many years, Indigenous engagement in the resources sector focused on participation, employment and procurement. Today, the conversation is increasingly focused on ownership, investment, wealth creation and long-term economic outcomes for Indigenous businesses and communities.

The 2026 AEMEE Conference and Awards will bring together more than 300 Indigenous businesses, Traditional Owners, mining and energy companies, and industry leaders from across Australia to explore what this next era looks like in practice.

As Australia navigates critical minerals, the energy transition and mine closure, this is a unique opportunity to hear directly from Indigenous businesses, Traditional Owners and industry leaders, build relationships, and take part in the conversations shaping the future of the sector.
