Why help to raise money for the Sarah Ford Foundation?
The Sarah Ford Foundation is committed to raising awareness in the local community about the effects of family and domestic violence (FDV). The Foundation stands with individuals from all walks of life across Western Australia - this 16 days in WA. We aim to provide awareness and join the fight against stopping FDV.
By participating in this event, we come together, united in the goals of driving a change in culture, behaviour and attitudes that lead to violence against women and their children.
The Foundation is committed to it's pursuit in providing women in the local Armdale and Byford communities with a niche exercise programs in Western Australia, that will help survivors of FDV cope with the symptoms of the mental health conditions brought about by their circumstances. The program, which will be run by Sarah Ford, our Director, aims to start late next year, and the necessary training, venue fees, establishment fees such as insurance, help from services such as WA Police, etc., can only be run if we receive the necessary funding. The state government Minister for Sport and Recreation, Women's Interests and Family and Domestic Violence are all aware of this planned program roll out - and funding is being assessed from government and other local sources.
However, your support can and will help!
With devastating, abhorrent incidents of FDV and intimate partner violence on the rise - please join with us to take a stand and assist us in using exercise as medicine. Your support is very much appreciated.

What is 16 Days in WA?
For 16 days in November and December, the community is invited to take a part in encouraging change to stop violence against women.
The annual 16 Days in WA – Stop Violence Against Women campaign takes place from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day.
Now in its eighth year, 16 Days in WA draws inspiration from the global movement for 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence to drive a change in culture, behaviour and attitudes that lead to violence against women and their children.
You are invited to create change during the campaign – to educate, motivate and advocate in your community, and stand up to stop violence against women.
The 2024 campaign theme is Stopping Family and Domestic Violence: Play your part.
