A Sacred Return: Transformational Breathwork Journey
Description
Where Breath Meets Being
📅 Usually First Saturday of Every Month • 2.5 hours
📍 Swami’s Yoga Retreat, North West Sydney
Same event, flexible pricing: Three ticket options for those who are curious, regulars or feel moved to give back.
Most of us move through life carrying more than we realise.
Stress that never fully exhales. Emotions half-felt, waiting for a moment that feels safe enough.
Breathwork is that moment.
A way to release, reset, and reconnect through the simple, ancient act of conscious breathing.
It’s not about control or performance. It’s about letting the body lead again.
When breath deepens, the nervous system remembers what safety feels like. The mind softens. The heart opens.
You don’t need experience, only willingness — to breathe, feel, and let what’s true move through.
🌬️ The Journey
A 2.5-hour guided experience through breath, scent, sound, and presence.
💨 90 Minutes of Conscious Connected Breathing
Gentle circular breathing to unwind stored stress, release emotion, and rebalance the body’s natural rhythm.
🎶 Integration Through Chant & Presence
When the breathwork ends, you’re invited into quiet devotional chanting, a gentle way to give voice to what’s being felt and integrate.
If stillness feels truer, you’re welcome to rest inwardly in peaceful integration. Every expression is honoured.
🕯️ Scent & Touch Integration
Our trauma-informed team uses sacred scent and light, grounded touch to help the body feel safe as it opens.
Sacred scents like sandalwood, myrrh, palo santo blend to calm the amygdala (fear centre of the brain) and deepen the parasympathetic state (rest and digest). Each scent an ally for restoration that works to open the Ventral Vagal state, which is responsible for feeling safe, calm, and connected. This promotes social interaction, empathy, and lasting emotional regulation.
🍃 Post-Session Nourishment & Community Time
After your session, we invite you to enjoy herbal grounding tea and vegetarian snacks in Swami’s dining hall, prepared with love and devotion.
To compliment, our partner Elara Glow offers signature cold-pressed juices for gentle post-journey nourishment.
A couple steps from the Yoga Shala, you’ll find plenty of quiet integration space, perfect for conversation, reflection, or slow re-entry before you head home. A reading room with fire place, a steam room, a dining hall, some seating amongst nature and more amidst the shared Ashram.
🌾 Why This Work Matters
Our world rarely pauses. Even when we rest, part of us stays switched on.
Breathwork is a full-body exhale, a natural way to reset what life has held tight.
Participants often describe feeling:
💆♀️ Profound relaxation and emotional lightness
🧠 Clarity after mental fog or looping thoughts
🫂 A deeper connection to self and others
🔥 Renewed vitality and grounded energy
🌙 A quiet calm that lasts long after
This isn’t self-improvement. It’s self-remembrance.
🪷 The Space
Swami’s Yoga Retreat
Swami's Yoga Retreat, located in Kenthurst (near Pitt Town) on 60 acres of bushland, offers a peaceful escape for personal growth and relaxation. It provides a comprehensive program of daily yoga, meditation, and workshops, along with vegetarian meals and use of facilities like a pool, gym, sauna, and tennis court. Accommodation options include ensuite rooms and glamping tents.
Our Yoga Shala is gently illuminated by natural sunset light and candle glow. Each session begins with scent awakening and concludes with sealing, drawing from Egyptian, Aztec, Vedic/Ancient Indian, Shamanic, & South American healing ceremony traditions and sciences.
Facilitators move gently through the space, offering attuned somatic support and light touch only where it’s needed and welcome.
Every moment is trauma-informed, and ensures you remain in full control.
After the session, you’re welcome to stay and integrate. We’ll move into the dining area for herbal tea and light vegetarian snacks. You can wander through the gardens, rest by the fireplace, or sit by the window in the reading room with tea and fruit, allowing your body to settle and gently ground what’s been moved.
Facilities:
Swami’s also offers a pool, sauna/steam room, reading room, dining/tea room, and walking trails, available depending on the time of day. If you wish to make a full afternoon of it, you’re welcome to arrive early or stay after to enjoy the grounds.
