AFDIF believes that content from the screen, media, and performing arts plays a significant role in shaping Australian culture. By showcasing more diverse stories, we can create a richer and more reflective picture of contemporary Australia for our audiences. AFDIF also recognises that organisations, culture, and creativity benefit from stories that promote cultural diversity and inclusion.
We are excited to invite you to the AFDIF Film Festival 2025, an event dedicated to celebrating filmmakers and stories from diverse and inclusive backgrounds on the cinema screen.

Catering : Cinema has a restaurant and food available to purchase. By showing event ticket you will get discount so please ask the Wallis Staff.
Films start time: 6:50 sharp (You can come just to watch films if you don’t want to be/can’t be involved with the red carpet and networking)
PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING : Event will be filmed and broadcast and photos will be taken on the night. Please let our volunteer/ filming crew know if you do not want them to take photos of you.
PARKING : Mitcham Square Shopping Centre offers accessible parking spaces at the 119 Belair Road car park, managed by Secure Parking . Visitors with a Disability Parking Permit can park in designated disabled spaces in the underground car park.
