Affinda AI Innovation Challenge

Enactus Melbourne and CISSA are teaming up with Affinda to run a four-day AI hackathon open to all current university students.

You'll get a real problem set by Affinda, two days to build a solution with your team, and a chance to pitch it to Affinda's judges.

🏆 Prizes

• Priority interviews for Affinda's Summer Internship Program for every member of the winning team (up to 4). The internship runs in-person in Melbourne for 6 weeks, January - February 2027 (Penultimate and final-year students preferred).

• $1,000 cash prize pool

🎉 Opening Night: Tuesday 6 October, 5:30 - 7:30pm, Laby Theatre (David Caro Building)

💻 Build Days: Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 October, 9:00am - 2:30pm. Rooms on campus are open for teams who want a space to work -
Wednesday: L1-107 (100 Leicester Street, Building 278)
Thursday: G-G20-Collaborative-Learning-Space (Old Howard Florey Laboratories, Building 183)
Attendance is optional, and you can build from anywhere.

Finalists pitch to the Affinda judging panel, then winners are announced. Everyone is welcome to watch, eat and network.

📌 How it works / further details

• Teams of 3 - 4, every team member needs their own ticket. Registering solo is fine: we'll match you with a team on opening night or on our Discord.

  • All communications will be done here, so AT LEAST ONE member of each team must join the Discord. Ideally, your whole team is in the Discord.

  • To be filled out by NO MORE THAN ONE member of your team. Each team should only submit one form.

• Open to all current university students.

• Opening Night is not compulsory, but attendance is strongly recommended. Updates will be done via email and the event Discord server (link coming soon) for participants who are not there in person.

• Finalists must attend Closing Night in person to pitch and receive prizes.
