This session is for anyone who has had some form of lead climbing experience inside or outside. This session is more of a gym to crag session in preparation for the outdoors, learning how to set up anchors for top roping, or finishing a lead climb and transitioning out of the system to get out of the crag. Some basic rescue situations will also be taught in case of small incidents which can happen outside.

This is only to sound out interest to have sufficient participants for the sessions to be created.

This workshop requires participants who have already been lead climbing indoors or outside.

Sessions are priced at $70 each, but payment will have to be made prior to the session via bank transfer.

Lead climbing skills are taught in a separate event.

Further announcements will be made on Instagram [ @affinityinitiative.aotearoa] and via contact details provided.

We understand that not everyone identifies with the term BIPOC or Global Majority as identities and race intersect is complex.
— we use the term broadly to encourage folks to come together to celebrate community & diversity in climbing.⁣
