Event description

Join us for a wonderful opportunity to explore the rhythms, songs, and dances of West Africa, as well as the stories behind them, led by master drummer, dancer, and composer, Koffie Fugah. Koffie is from the Volta Region of Ghana and has many years of experience as a teacher and performer. He is based in Dunedin but through Kadodo Music runs workshops and performs around the country.

Community workshops with Koffie are fun and inclusive for all levels and experiences as you learn from an Indigenous source in Aotearoa, New Zealand. There is no expectation apart from the willingness to give it a go!

The day will feature African drumming, dancing and singing sessions and a chance to be in the beautiful native forest at Staveley Camp. Lunch and afternoon tea are included in the ticket price (lunch will be a DIY sandwich/ salad - with lots of ingredient options to cater for various dietary requirements).

This African Experience will leave you feeling energized and inspired! So, what are you waiting for? Get your tickets today!

Really make the most of this beautiful place and what is on offer by booking in to both events.
