African Lovegrass Control Program landholder workshop
Event description
The Limestone Coast Landscape Board and the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) welcome landholders to a free workshop to learn more about managing the local priority weed, African lovegrass.
Where: Tintinara Town Hall, 49 Becker Terrace, Tintinara SA
When: Thursday 16 October 2025 8 am to 11 am
Commencing at 8.00 am with a free bacon and egg breakfast and workshop beginning at 8:30 am.
The workshop is a great opportunity to access the latest research information and will provide:
· A chance to learn about new research, with a recent NSW DPIRD herbicide trial being replicated right here in the Limestone Coast, paving the way to introduce new control options in our African lovegrass toolbox.
· A look at how a recent South Australian bid to have African lovegrass recognised as a nationally recognised weed has put the Limestone Coast on the national map as leaders in research and control strategies.
· An opportunity to sign up to the Program.
Free breakfast will be provided. This is a chance to bring a neighbour to the workshop and encourage them to sign-up their property.
