Event description

Join Lerato for a fun, free & beginner friendly afro dance workshop @ Afrocan Days and learn a short fun routine for adults & kids.

Lerato has been dancing for as long as she can remember – firstly in the style of Hip hop and then, since arriving in Australia, and joining Melbourne’s top Dancehall crew Burncity Queenz has become highly acclaimed for her skills in Dancehall and Afrodances. Lee placed 3rd in the Australian Dancehall Queen competition in 2015 and travelled to Jamaica in that same year to learn from the creators first hand in Jamaica.

Over the past few years Lee’s career has gone from strength to strength – not only with her position at Jungle City, and as a member of Burncity Queenz, but also as a solo performer, performing with the likes of Sampa the Great, Baker Boy and featuring in numerous music videos with local and international artists.

*This workshop is part of Afrocan Days - its a free event so come through before and stay after!
