Event description
Over the next six weeks we will be going over dance moves and music from Africa. Afrobeats are high energy with a little flavour from your soul. It’s a bop, it's a vibe, it’s a feeling. In each class we will take it step by step as we work towards a complete choreography piece. We will also add a little cypher into the class to find comfort in the sound and feeling of afrobeats. So come in, don’t be shy and come have some fun.
Hi everyone!
I am Jazia @jaziatara . I will be your dance teacher for 6 weeks starting in June. I will teach you moves originated in Africa from places such as
Ghana, Nigeria and South Africa. I am an African Asian Diaspora living in Australia and have really been enjoying finding movement
in my roots. Most of my work has been through hip hop and commercial dance. I have worked with amazing African Australian Artists here in Australia such as Elsy Wameyo, Sampa the Great and Malakai.
