Naomi Reed, a renowned Christian author and speaker, along with Darren Reed, a dedicated physiotherapist, will be visiting Armidale to share their faith journey and experiences from their time in Nepal. They have inspired many with their faith stories and commitment to mission work. Naomi and Darren Reed have dedicated their lives to service and faith, with Naomi known for her impactful Christian literature and speaking engagements. Darren, a committed physiotherapist, has also contributed significantly to their shared mission work, particularly in Nepal, where they've made a lasting impact through their faith-driven efforts. Their journey is one of dedication, inspiration, and profound service to others.

This event will host various churches and communities and aims to enrich our community with inspiring testimonies to support our collective mission efforts.

    Speakers:

    Naomi and Darren Reed

Naomi and Darren Reed spent six years in Nepal, serving with INF as qualified physiotherapists. Darren worked at Western Regional Hospital while Naomi  worked at Green Pastures Leprosy Hospital.

By their second term, in 2003, Darren was training Nepali physiotherapists at Dhulikhel Medical Institute and Naomi was home-schooling their three sons on a Himalayan ridge.

They both loved their local Nepali church community but challenges included civil war, rain and curfews. These experiences spurred Naomi to write her first book, My Seventh Monsoon.

The family returned to Australia in 2006. Since then, Darren has been lecturing in anatomy at Sydney University and Naomi has continued to write books as well as speak at churches.

More recently, she has been gathering 300 Faith Stories for the Bible Society which has been a great joy. That writing has turned into her most recent book, Every moment, Everywhere, which is due out in August
