Afterschool Storytelling Sessions

Join us for a fortnightly storytelling session to hear Yindjibarndi Creation Stories from Juluwarlu in their storybooks commencing Wednesday 26 February. Afterschool sessions run from 4:00pm-5:00pm.

These sessions are a unique opportunity to connect with the rich storytelling traditions of the Pilbara region. Readings from Ngurra Nyjunggamu - When the World was Soft - Yindjibarndi Creation Stories offers a space for learning, reflection, and creativity.

After the storytelling, participants can dive into fun, hands-on creative activities and games inspired by the stories. Whether it’s painting, drawing, or crafting, no artistic skills are required—just bring your imagination!

Age: Open to all ages – everyone is welcome!
Pre-requisites: None! No artistic skills required.
Facilitator: Professor Neeti Sethi, JCG Education Coordinator.
