MUTAL AID INFORMATION:

Classic first and second generation migrant shit, usually means wanting to connect and contribute to attrocities happening from the places we all come from.

If you're unaware, the ongoing political and social situation in Kashmir has lead to the displacement, deaths, psychological trauma and human rights oppression. Agaaz International has been able to cut through a 70+ years of political standstill between India and Pakistan, by designating itself as non-political in its character. Rather than engaging in political lobbying or partisan campaigns, they focus strictly on grassroots humanitarian work, social justice, and community development.' For instance, money donated will then go towards providing access to education for every child, safe menstrual products for women and girls, and creating opportunities for economic empowerment.

In solidarity, we've chosen to name this event after their project, due to type of work they're doing aligning with our own values. Mainly, due to them being able to bypass political 'complexities' and focus on community empowerment.

The second 50% of funds raised will go to Nepal relief via monasteries Gosok Gumba and Nubri Gumba, who are housing hundreds of people after flash floods in August. The floods have caused over 1,450 people lost lives, thousands remain missing, and more than 13,700 individuals were rescued across the region.

Such monasteries are important to support immediately, but perhaps also great long term investments for people looking to support those who will be affected most by climate change. Nepal contributes less than 0.1% of the world’s annual global greenhouse gas emissions, yet it is among one of the most climate-vulnerable countries due to its geographical location in the Himalayan mountains, where the warming climate is accelerating glacier melt and increasing the risks of glacial lake outburst floods, ice avalanches, and glacier collapse.

Money donated will go towards purchasing and distributing food, clean drinking water, temporary shelter materials, and hygiene supplies to displaced families, setting up resource points to provide medical care, meals, and emotional support to affected locals. Along with this, financing the transportation of vital goods to remote, hard-hit Himalayan communities along the flooded Bhote Koshi river system.

100% of ticket and merch profits go towards these two organisations, if you need anymore information on either we recommend you reach out for a conversation (our instagram), or take a look at the links we've got below
