Finding Peace: Embracing Loss and Wisdom in Growing Older

Aging asks us to live more truthfully — to soften where we once pushed, to listen where we once spoke, to love what is changing. 

Our culture tends to resist aging, to hide it, to treat it as something to fix or fight. Yet within aging lies wisdom, humour, and the invitation to live with greater honesty and tenderness.

In this online gathering, we’ll explore what it means to age: the physical changes, shifting identities, and deeper awareness that come with time. Through journaling, guided reflection, and a circle of mourning and celebration, we’ll speak the conversations we often avoid and find the grace and laughter that live within them.

Together we’ll honour both the losses and the learnings, the beauty and the complexity of growing older.

• Be witnessed and supported — share your story in safe, guided mourning and celebration circles.

• Reconnect with life — use journaling and mindful practices to nurture wisdom, gratitude, and renewal.

Guided by Wendy Haynes and supported by Jeff Joslin, this session is a fundraiser for Baba Tree International, supporting community empowerment and peace projects around the world. Baba Tree International is committed to a world where everyone has the knowledge and ability to contribute to peace within themselves and with others, and where this wisdom is passed on from generation to generation.
