Ageing Well Initiative - Online Catch UP!

Join our Online Catch-Up: Ageing Well, a welcoming space for parents, carers, family members and loved ones of people with Down syndrome who are ageing.

Grab a cuppa, put your feet up and connect with others who truly understand the journey. These informal sessions provide an opportunity to share experiences, raise concerns, exchange advice, and learn from one another in a supportive environment.

Whether you’ve noticed changes in behaviour, want ideas on preventative health activities, have questions about health and wellbeing, or simply want to connect with others, this friendly online gathering offers a safe place to talk and listen.

The sessions are hosted by Down Syndrome NSW’s staff member Miriam Philomena, who has been part of the organisation for over 20 years, with support from other parents and carers who have experience and knowledge to share. Miriam is also the proud mother and carer of her daughter Bridget, who has Down syndrome. With professional expertise and lived experience, Miriam brings a wealth of knowledge, empathy, and understanding to every conversation.

We may not always have the answers, but together we’ll explore ways to find them.
