Event description

Bringing the best in Ska, Reggae, Dub, Latin, Dance & Groove music, 4 local bands come together for an unforgettable, epic night of diverse live music, fun, sharing, more partying, and a lot of dancing to welcome in the glorious summer! This night is not to be missed. The artists:

AGENCY DUB COLLECTIVE (9:35pm-10:20pm)

Formed in 1999, this legendary offbeat outfit meld global roots and blues influences

with Jamaican dub, soul and reggae of the 60's-70's era. Fronted by the immeasurably inspiring Jenny Sawer, unleashing her uplifting vocals, the band’s multiple songwriters showcase a delightful array of relaxing summer flavours.

TROPITEC (10:30pm-11:15pm)

A deep collaboration between Rodrigo Percussion, Root Sellers (Canada) and talented musical improvisers, Tropitec brings the fiery sound of the Caribbean by melding jazz, latin, house & electronic fusion. The live percussive rhythms create an energetic latin flavour certain to get bodies shaking on any dancefloor while soaking up the tropical vibes.

DOXXED (8:40-9:25pm)

Combining the greatest Canberran talent to ever continue playing ska well past it’s use by date of the early 90s, Doxxed combines the sweet skanking sounds of the two-tone era with those songs you wish you could get out of your head, but can’t. With beats that will get you moving and songs we all know the words to, they will have you singing along loudly as you skank the night away.

SALTY GOODNESS (8pm-8:30pm)

Something has slithered out of the depths and has wormed its way into our ears. Salty Goodness is a new colourful act from Canberra bringing flavours of electro-funk-pop & punk, and will be igniting the dancefloor this evening with their fun-loving groovy tunes.
