A Wisdom of Age
Event description
Join us for an empowering and thought-provoking afternoon at the Older Women's Network in Newtown as we celebrate the wisdom, resilience, and revolution of older women.
Acclaimed author Jacinta Parsons will discuss her transformative new book, A Wisdom of Age, which explores how women can rewrite the narrative of aging with unapologetic confidence, love, and rebellion. Drawing from conversations with women across the country, Jacinta shares insights on invisibility, imagination, joy, changing roles, and reclaiming space as we age.
Moderating this dynamic conversation is the brilliant Caroline Baum, a respected journalist, broadcaster, and author known for her insightful storytelling and deep empathy. Caroline brings a wealth of experience from her work across print, radio, and television, and her memoir Only: A Singular Memoir explores themes of identity, legacy, and self-determination—making her the perfect guide for this powerful discussion.
Together, Jacinta and Caroline will delve into the brewing revolution in the hearts of middle-aged and older women, offering inspiration and practical wisdom for embracing the second half of life with strength and vitality.
