AGM 2020
Event description
Due to the cancellation of this year’s conference, we are holding the CANZ Annual General Meeting 2020 virtually.
Please be sure you read the AGM booklet before the meeting so you are prepared. You may find this booklet on the CANZ website here.
The meeting will be held via Zoom Video Conference on 27 May 2020, beginning the meeting sharply at 7:00pm. Please register by the 20th of May.
We will be requesting you arrive 15 minutes before meeting start to smooth out any technical difficulties, and we will be admitting people into the event at 6:55pm. NO ONE arriving past 7pm will be admitted into the meeting, so please be punctual.
We need a quorum of 10% of the membership so please consider joining in and participating. The material presented at the AGM will inform and update you, and allow you to take an active part in shaping our ever-growing association.
Responses to motions will be taken by poll and this will be explained to participants prior to the meeting. If you are attending in a group, the member hosting the Zoom will vote by poll and all others in attendance will vote by chat giving the motion title, their name and their vote for/against.
Members holding a proxy will first enter their own vote by poll, then enter the proxy vote via chat again including the motion title, member name, and vote for/against: i.e. Proxy vote for “member name” on “motion name” vote for/against
Members are asked to pre-submit their questions for John Sexton (accountant) on the financial report and/or Jeff Montgomery on matters pertaining to BDM, to the President president@celebrantsassociation.co.nz by close of business on Friday 22nd May.
Groups attending: if we have moved to level 2 by 27th May, some members may be able and choose to attend in one location as a group. If so, we ask that you pre-submit your group details, so we have a record for voting/quorum purposes, i.e. name of member leading the group (running the Zoom) plus the names of all the other members in the group. Please submit this information to events@celebrantsassociation.co.nz by the 25th of May.
