Agritech Unleashed: Dunedin 2026
Description
Start the conversation early at pre-event networking on Wednesday 11 November, from 5pm at Silver Fern Farms. Make connections, share perspectives and get a head start on Thursday’s discussion.
Agritech Unleashed is coming to Dunedin on Thursday 12 November, bringing together farmers, growers, agritech businesses, researchers, investors and industry leaders for a practical conversation about turning innovation into lasting value - on farm and across the sector.
Join us at Otago Business School, University of Otago, to explore the conditions that help good ideas move from promise to everyday practice.
Agritech Unleashed Otago will focus on two central themes:
Technology adoption and adaptation
What will it actually take for a farmer to adopt new technology? From family farms to large-scale operations, we will unpack the proof, support and commercial models that make adoption a justifiable option.
Data: voice, sovereignty and mobility
What could better-connected livestock, pasture, environmental and supply-chain data unlock for farmers, and for Aotearoa? We will explore what needs to change to bridge the gap between farmers and agritech businesses to realise that value.
About Agritech Unleashed
Agritech Unleashed is a nationwide series that celebrates and explores the distinct strengths of Aotearoa New Zealand’s regional agritech ecosystems. Each region has its own agricultural priorities, challenges, stakeholders and infrastructure—shaping how agritech is adopted, connected and scaled.
The series creates space for meaningful conversations that:
highlight regional strengths and opportunities
showcase innovation in the environments where it is making a difference
strengthen connections and collaboration across the sector
link local solutions to national and global opportunities
Come ready to share what’s working, ask the hard questions and help shape what comes next for agritech in Otago and beyond.
