Mon, Mar 17, 6pm - 7:15pm MDT

Event description

DLC volunteer and retired biologist Brenda Beatty, along with Jordan Macknick, the Lead Energy, Water, and Land Analyst for the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) will discuss the growing field of agrivoltaics. Agrivoltaics pairs solar with agriculture, creating energy and providing space for crops, grazing, and native habitats under and between panels. Combining an introduction to the industry with case studies and experiments, you'll come away from this unique opportunity with a better understanding of coupling renewable energy development and agriculture.

Please plan to arrive 10 minutes early to park and find us upstairs.

DLC classes are offered free of charge, but a $10 per person donation is suggested so that we may continue to offer educational outreach classes in the community.
