Curious about syntropic agroforestry but not sure where to start? This hands-on half-day workshop introduces the core principles behind one of the world's most exciting regenerative growing systems.
We'll begin with a practical theory session exploring ecological succession, plant stratification, biomass, and how natural ecosystems can guide the way we grow food. We'll then head into the garden to plant a syntropic garden row together, giving you practical experience and the confidence to begin applying these principles at home.
Whether you're a home gardener, landholder or simply interested in regenerative agriculture, you'll leave with a deeper understanding of syntropic agroforestry, hands-on experience, and plenty of inspiration for your own growing space.

Getting there
Entrance to the Growing Together market garden is through a side-gate on the south-eastern side the Milton Showground. There is parking in the Milton Showground around the toilet block or above the council sheds. Please keep to the speed limit driving through the showground. See map below for details

Dean Curtis
Dean Curtis is a permaculture designer, educator and the founder of Dean's Permaculture Installs. With over 10 years' experience in permaculture, food forests and syntropic agroforestry, Dean is passionate about helping people create abundant, resilient landscapes that work in harmony with nature. Dean's work centers on designing and establishing diverse, resilient food forests inspired by permaculture and syntropic agroforestry principles. Through practical, hands-on workshops and real-world projects, he aims to inspire and equip others with the knowledge and confidence to create productive, regenerative landscapes of their own.
