Building Advanced Practice on Firm Foundations

The Allied Health Academy is pleased to present the AHP Global Advanced Practice Collective's third free webinar, following on from the September session which explored Advanced Clinical Practice within the UK, with England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.

This webinar, chaired by Susan Nancarrow, CEO of HealthWork International, will continue the conversation to progress the collective collaboration and learning integral to creating an environment for AHP advanced practice to thrive.

This webinar will feature five presenters who will be sharing about the enablers required to support success for established advanced practice roles:

  • Strategic policy facing enablement related to service pathway modernisation - Beverley Harden (Deputy Chief Allied Health Professions Officer for England, and Health Education England's Allied Health Professions Lead)
  • Clear business planning to underpin the thinking behind the desired service change and need for the roles at local level - Luke Cunningham and Jennifer Lloyd (Workforce Change - NHSE)
  • Building supervisor capability and capacity to support the education, training and role development and transition - Deborah Harding (Professor of Learning and Innovation for Practice, St George's University of London)
  • Collaboration with education to develop meaningful education and training pathways to support a recognisable pipeline of future clinicians - Melanie Clarkson (Association of Advanced Practice Educators UK - Global Educators Network)

The session will include dedicated Q&A time.
