Join guest presenter Fiona MacNeill to explore how your values show up in your leadership purpose. Fiona is a habitual learner who has spent 3 decades exploring the connection between values and behaviour. Much of that time was spent with people in health and care environments. Challenging the ascribed wisdom about values in culture, Fiona asks us to be really honest and consider whether or not our values fit with what we do and how we do it.
Fiona will also introduce her flagship Personal Leadership course, launching in early 2025, designed specifically for allied health leaders. This program emphasises emotional intelligence, personal accountability, authenticity, and creating space for meaningful conversations to foster real change.
If you want to look at behaviours you can change and improve and explore impacts in an accountable way, then this is for you.
KeyQuestions to take away:
Which of your personal values shows up in your behaviour and what’s the impact?
How might you have a conversation about personal values with your team?
What would be possible if your team all understood how their values impact their behaviour and the wider team?
If you felt really safe, what would you say about being asked to do things that don’t align to your values?
What if reflective practice/supervision was as much about values as about operational priorities?

Fiona has 30 years of experience and expertise in designing and facilitating learning and development – from community artwork and street work with drug users to large scale national leadership programs for 3,000 people, with significant experience in allied health systems in the UK, Malta, and New Zealand.
Working across these diverse settings and systems with people at all levels of responsibility, from CEOs to frontline workers and with teams and individuals, Fiona’s philosophy is that leadership is a way of being, a set of thinking and behaviour that is aligned to values. It is not about management, position, status, or experience – we are all leaders.
