AHVTT Development Workshop – People with Lived Experience of Homelessness

The AAEH invites people with lived experience of homelessness to participate in an online workshop led by Iain de Jong of OrgCode in the lead up to the development of the new Australian Homelessness Vulnerability Triage Tool (AHVTT). This is the opportunity for people with lived experience to add their knowledge and experience of homelessness to inform the development of the new Australian Tool, that will replace the VI-SPDAT, currently used by many housing and homelessness support services across Australia.
We welcome our facilitator Iain de Jong, who will join us virtually via Zoom.
Iain De Jong is the President & CEO of OrgCode with over 20 years of experience in the housing and homelessness industry, having held positions in the public, non-profit, and private sectors. Iain holds a graduate degree in Social Planning and spent 10 years on the Faculty of York University’s Graduate Urban Planning Program. Iain is a renowned international expert in ending homelessness and throughout the years, Iain has transformed large cities, counties, states, provinces, and individual organisations to focus on preventing and ending homelessness. Iain is also the author of The Book on Ending Homelessness, an advisor to the Bezos (Amazon) Day One Family Fund, a frequent conference speaker and keynote speaker, media commentator, and sits on a variety of committees and workgroups related to ending homelessness in Canada and the United States.
This workshop is for people with lived experience of homelessness.
The workshop will be focused on what will need to be included or excluded from a survey tool used with people experiencing homelessness, will be based on the current VI-SPDAT surveys.
