The NSW Agency for Clinical Innovation, in partnership with the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of NSW, and collaboration with the Centre for Aboriginal Health and NSW/ACT PHN Aboriginal Health Network, is pleased to be hosting our 8th annual conference. This year's theme is From the Ground Up: Aboriginal Leadership Transforming Health Innovation and Research and explores the powerful role of Aboriginal leadership in reshaping health systems and research practices. This theme highlights community-driven approaches, cultural knowledge, and self-determination as catalysts for meaningful change. It celebrates how Aboriginal voices and leadership are driving innovation, challenging conventional models, and creating pathways for more equitable, inclusive, and effective health outcomes. While the program is still being finalised, it's exciting to announce some of the fabulous speakers who'll be sharing their experiences, knowledge and insights with us. 📢Keynote speaker: Ieyesha Campbell will share with us how she is “Living Her Best Life” a young Aboriginal woman from a rural region living with a chronic condition. 📢Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Network Co-Chairs open the conference with reflections on our journey so far, and where to next. 📢Professor Alex Brown highlights the work he is leading in genomics for Aboriginal people and the role of precision medicine in Closing the Gap 📢Panel Discussion featuring system leaders and showcasing Aboriginal leadership across the healthcare sector and the important role of allyship to enable impact and change.
