AI for Good Aotearoa NZ Lunch & Learn Series (October 2026)
Description
Join us for a monthly AI for Good Lunch & Learn series, with each session featuring a different speaker, startup, or organisation working at the intersection of AI, sustainability and social impact.
Each virtual session (BYO lunch) we’ll spotlight a fresh perspective, practical use case, or emerging idea, giving participants the chance to learn directly from people building and applying AI for good. The series is designed to inspire discussion, surface new opportunities, and deepen understanding of how AI can be used responsibly to support better outcomes for people and communities. This month (October 2026) we'll be featuring... academic, writer and philosopher Simon Hertnon of Nakedize who will introduce the Universal AI Declaration (UAID) which he's co-created with AI4G co-host Juhi Shareef of Mission: Mārama. The Declaration aims to address the 'trust gap' that exists for citizens around AI, by asking organisations why and how they are using AI, and what guardrails they are putting in place in the next 12 months.
The Declaration is at design stage and this is an opportunity to workshop the content, have your say and get involved. Participants will get an early draft of the Declaration before the ZOOM session.
