AI in Accounting and Advisory | Accounting & Finance
Description
AI is rapidly reshaping accounting and advisory practice, bringing both opportunity and risk. As adoption accelerates, the challenges of accountability, cognitive ownership and professional ethics are becoming more pronounced in an AI-enabled environment.
This workshop is designed to address that challenge at the root.
Delivered by Suzanne (Sues) Tonks, Managing Director of Limestone Group, the session brings together over 20 years of senior leadership experience and postgraduate psychology expertise to help you build clarity, accountability and ethical intelligence in the way AI is used in accounting and finance practice.
The challenge
AI-assisted advisory introduces new risks to judgement and professional standards. Without clear frameworks, organisations and practitioners begin to see:
• Reduced clarity around accountability for AI-generated work
• Erosion of professional judgement and cognitive ownership
• Increased exposure to compliance risks
• Heightened reputational risk in client-facing advisory
These risks build quietly before they become visible in performance, audit quality and client trust.
Our approach
This workshop focuses on how AI is actually used in accounting and advisory contexts, and how to ensure it strengthens, rather than replaces, professional judgement. It is more than a policy, it is a practical framework for responsible AI use.
What you will explore
• The implications of AI-assisted advisory on professional standards
• Where accountability sits in AI-enabled workflows
• When AI supports thinking vs replaces it
• Risks to judgement, authorship and output quality
• AML/CTF obligations and regulatory considerations
• Responsible AI adoption aligned with CPA and CA ANZ expectations

Designed for accounting and finance professionals, including:
