AI is rapidly changing how we work, but what does that mean for surveys and evaluation? Across the sector, institutions are beginning to explore how AI tools can support survey design, improve efficiency in analysis, and enhance reporting processes. This session invites survey and evaluation practitioners to come together for an informal conversation about how AI is shaping our work. It’s an opportunity to hear how others across the sector are approaching this evolving space and to connect with colleagues navigating similar challenges.

This session will explore how AI is being used in practice, what’s working, and what challenges institutions are encountering and is an opportunity to share where things are at in your current context, what you’re trying, what’s working (or not), and how your institution is thinking about AI in relation to surveys and evaluation.

Rather than formal presentations, this will be a conversational session, supported by a few prompts to guide discussion.

Discussion topics will include:

• How AI is currently being used (or not yet used) to support survey and evaluation workflows

• Examples of tools, processes, or innovative approaches currently underway

• Institutional perspectives, guidelines, or emerging practices

• Risks, limitations, and ethical considerations
