AIDN QLD DEFENCE INDUSTRY MICRO-CREDENTIALING PROGRAM 

 

About the Program:
The Australian Industry and Defence Network (AIDN) Queensland Defence Industry Capability Edge (DICE) Micro-Credentialling Program is a strategic partnership between the Queensland Government, AIDN and AIDN member organisations to enhance Defence Industry business acumen and workforce skills, aligning with the latest Sovereign Defence Industrial Priorities and emerging AUKUS opportunities. 

Sessions are developed in consultation with AIDN QLD members and delivered by experienced industry practitioners. 

Course: Protecting Innovation and Intellectual Property Strategy 

  • Session 1: To Protect or Not Protect? – Types of IP, protection methods, speed to market. 

  • Session 2: Start Your Protection Journey – Patent process, trademarks, IP searches. 

  • Session 3: Develop Trademarks and Patents – Claims writing, registration, exams. 

  • Session 4: Commercialise Intellectual Property – Licensing, negotiation, commercial vehicles. 

 Assessment

  • Digitally Administered Theory Exam

  • Attendee Feedback Survey

  • This course is open to all AIDN QLD Members free of charge 

  • Please bring a Laptop or Tablet to participate in the course activities 

  • Morning and Afternoon Tea will be provided 

  • Lunch is at your own expense 

  • Street parking is limited, so car-pooling or public transport options are recommended
