Pharmacogenomics is under-utilised in Australia as a management tool for mental health conditions. It can prove particularly useful in helping to guide response to medications as well as nutraceuticals. It can also prove helpful for those who are particularly sensitive to the use of medications and/or nutraceuticals and for those who are treatment-resistant. Learn what we know so far about pharmacogenomics, its clinical use and availability, and how it may be utilised in the clinical practice setting to assist in managing patients with mental health conditions. Clinical case studies will be presented.
