Event Description – Supporting the Australian Kendo Team

Join us in celebrating the dedication, discipline, and spirit of the Australian Kendo Team as they prepare for the Asian Oceania Kendo Championships (AOKC) and the World Kendo Championships.

Behind every match is a story of commitment. Our athletes train year-round, balancing work, study, and family life while funding much of their own journey. From early morning keiko to late-night travel, they represent not only their clubs but Australia on the international stage. Competing at this level requires more than skill—it demands resilience, sacrifice, and an unwavering passion for kendo.

This event is more than just a gathering; it’s an opportunity to be part of that journey. You’ll hear about the team’s preparation, the challenges they’ve overcome, and what it means to wear the Australian colours at the highest level of competition. It’s also a chance to connect with the broader kendo community and show your support.

By attending and purchasing merchandise, you are directly contributing to the team’s ability to compete internationally. Travel, accommodation, and competition expenses are significant, and every bit of support helps ease that burden so our athletes can focus on performing at their best.

Come along, be inspired, and help us send our team to the world stage with pride.
