Coatesville Garden Ramble 2025
Event description
For the first time since 2019, the Coatesville Garden Ramble is back. Come and see some of the best gardens in the county. This event which is organised by the Rotary Club of Albany, raises funds through the Albany Rotary Charitable Trust with funds raised going towards Pet Refuge, the Coatesville Pest Eradication Programme and other Albany Rotary Community Projects.
Visitors to the event will be able to indulge themselves with a day in the country, visiting and enjoying the peace and tranquility of six park-like gardens in beautiful Coatesville. One of the gardens has been recognized by the NZ Gardens Trust as being of International Significance.
The six gardens, which have been created by the love, care and hard work of keen gardeners, will all be at their best displaying late spring / early summer splendour and will surely delight both gardeners, or those who simply enjoy beautiful surroundings.
Tickets are $70.00+fees before 31 August and $80.00+fees from 1 September.

Mincher - Garden of International Significance
338 Coatesville Riverhead Highway.
A delightful garden surrounding a Georgian style residence, set against a backdrop of lush native bush, home to birds and waterfowl, consisting of formal and informal planting, old orchards, ponds, a walled kitchen garden and Victorian inspired glass houses.

Bumkin Garden

Bumkin is two acres of expansive landscaping, plantings, walks, and a lake. It has been lovingly created and maintained solely by its owners. It also features a tractor museum.
Mahoenui Farm

A very romantic garden magnificently landscaped with extensive and attractive planting.
Rosie Lea
855B Ridge Rd, Coatesville.
RosieLea is a seven-acre lifestyle block that Don and Liz Rosie bought as a retirement project. It is a garden for all seasons with different attractions during the year. Palms, colourful shrubs and ground covers give a subtropical appearance, while low maintenance has always been of prime importance.
Martha's
91 Screen Road, Coatesville.
A relatively new garden, beautifully landscaped with grasses, a mixture of native and deciduous trees, flaxes and some sculptures.
The Meadows
59 Mahoenui Valley Road, Coatesville.
A lush country garden blending classic roses, vibrant perennials, and sculpted hedges, set against a backdrop of native bush. This thoughtfully layered space offers colour, structure, and seasonal interest in every direction.
