Albi & The Wolves and Dennis Duigan
Event description
Award winning trio Albi & The Wolves are returning to Australia with a brand new album Light After The Dark. The band is known for their uplifting and dynamic shows that brim with energy and heart. Chris Dent, proud albino frontman, plays the guitar and sings with a distinct voice and charm. Pascal Roggen pushes his electric five string violin to it’s very limit with his frenetic and thoughtful playing. Third band member Micheal Young ties the group together with groovy double bass.
The band has performed over 400 shows in their 10 year lifespan with some highlights being WOMAD NZ or Woodford Folk Festival.
Their new album Light After The Dark plays with themes of hope and reaches the fringes of what indie folk can really be. There are some touching soft moments, roots tracks filled with horns and keys, and some delightful surprises along the way.
Come join Albi & The Wolves at It’s Still A Secret on November 8th, it’s a show you don’t want to miss. Joining them that night will be the banjo drummin’ local legend Dennis Duigan.
