Join us for Perth's PrideFest celebration as we present you a 3 hour Yoga & Breathwork Immersion: 'I AM Proud & Present'! 🌈 ✨ 💖

We will be guided through a journey of meditation, Slow Flow Yoga, a Somatic Breathwork Session, and share a nourishing vegan platter & healthy mocktails to close. What a beautiful opportunity to show up for yourself, with this beautiful community in a radical act of self-love, self-care, and self-connection.

ALCHĒMIA’s intention is to offer a space for you to embody your most authentic self, and to be seen & loved in your wholeness. When we can show up for ourself in a safe space with compassion and unconditional acceptance, it can foster deep peace & healing.

You don't have to be queer to breathe and get clear. So while we welcome our beautiful fellow Queer / LGBTQIA+ / Rainbow Family, we also open this space up to anyone who is interested in exploring the breath and their relationship to embodying true self expression and empowerment.

Led by Maya Fernandez & Pia Husbands, this immersion combines their unique skillsets to offer you series of nourishing and empowering practices.

The journey will begin with an acknowledgment of country and opening meditation, where we will ground into the space, our bodies and regulate our nervous system. We then transition into a Slow Flow Yoga practice we combine slower nourishing movements guided by our breath, leaving us feeling strong, embodied and spacious.

This sets the foundation for a Somatic Breathwork session (commonly known as Conscious Connected Creathwork [CCB also known as Somatic Breathwork]), a technique known for cultivating a deeper sense of self-awareness, mindfulness and embodiment. During this session, we'll create space to explore our inner world, allowing thoughts, emotions, and sensations to surface. This provides an opportunity to become aware of subconscious holdings, enabling the body and mind to release and let go.

We finally integrate the breathwork journey with sharing circle, and feast of a wholesome, nourishing vegan platter, sharing healthy mocktails.

THE FACILITATORS

MAYA FERNANDEZ

Maya is a yoga and meditation based in Boorloo, Perth Australia. After completing a 200-hour teacher training in 2020, Maya has been offering yoga and it’s teachings with the wider community.

Maya's teaching style is rooted in slow, embodied, mindful movement with an emphasis on the breath and self love. She is passionate about incorporating yoga both on and off the mat, allowing these teachings to guide us to our innermost peace everyday- which is our birthright to experience.
Having experienced first hand how of yoga, and breathwork can help anxiety the human experience, Maya’s intention is to always create a safe space for her students to connect with their inner peace away from the noise of the outside world. In her offerings you can find a weaving of movement, breath, sound, and often sensory experiences such essential oils and food

PIA HUSBANDS

Pia is a breathwork facilitator, bodyworker and wellness advocate with a deep love for creation and connection amongst the planet. Having experience and training in Zen Thai Shiatsu and Aroma Touch techniques, Pia now combines these with conscious connected breathing, ancient pranayama techniques and movement to enhance mental, emotional and spiritual states of well-being.

After discovering the benefits of conscious breathing in 2019, Pia has dedicated her life to sharing these transforative techniques with others. Pia is committed to providing a safe space for others to experience their wholeness, and integrates the grounding elements of holistic wellness to ensure you return back to yourself with clarity and ease.

Passionate about healing and personal growth, Pia believes in empowering individuals to live life to their fullest potential. As a performance maker, she brings a creative and artistic approach to her facilitations, enabling her clients to express themselves fully and authentically in all aspects of their being.

ABOUT SOMATIC BREATHWORK

Somatic Breathwork is a specific style of breath designed to heal and restore connection to oneself from the inside out. Pairing deep conscious breathing with intuitive movement and assisted bodywork, we provide you a safe space to explore your inner workings connect to deeper states of awareness.

Also commonly known as 'Conscious connected breathwork' (CBC), they say the breath is the bridge between the mind, body and heart and CCB serves as a tool for integrating them all together. Somatic breathwork is primarily a mouth breathing technique which can not only induce deep states of euphoria, healing and inner peace, but supports changes in brain activity and mood, enhances lung capacity and promotes a healthier immune system.
