ALICE NIGHT (Northern NSW–Bundjalung Country)

Alice Night is a singer-songwriter and performer most noted for her emotive vocals, her unique song-writing style, and the spontaneity she brings to her live shows. Her voice commands attention through presence and tone while lyrically she is poetic, playful and thematically courageous.

One moment you’ll be moved to tears by the rare honesty of her voice, the next you’ll be laughing at the absurdity of what she’s doing or saying. Inspired by acts as vast as Tim Minchin, Laura Marling and Leonard Cohen, Alice takes risks and reveals her inner world with conviction. Audiences are left struck by the authenticity of both her stage presence and her craft, and the healing quality of her voice.

For this evening she'll be showcasing new material, songs from the upcoming album Wild Ivy, a potent cover song or two and a spoken poem.

Quotes from audiences:

'Beyond even the music, it is thrilling to witness another human being brave enough to lower the facade.’ Atlas Talisman – (Open World Theatre)

‘I've never heard a voice so honest.’ – ALPHAMAMA

THIS WOMAN! brought me to tears over and over. Her heart and genuineness is piercing and intoxicating, let alone her voice and talent to express. – Kate Laurie

EDDIE FITZPATRICK (VIC) is an English-Australian songwriter, storyteller and facilitator who lives and loves on Wurundjeri Country, in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. Growing up in the English countryside, she sang before she could talk, singing filled her childhood, leading her to perform on stages as vast as Buckingham Palace in her early years.

Now, returning to the voice as both a facilitator and songwriter, she takes listeners on deep dives through all facets of the human and non-human experience, writing songs rippled with a rare and stirring freedom. Her artistic influences include nature, the ancient practices of the bard, and the delicate art of gathering and ritual.

Often compared to singers such as Joni Mitchell, Gillian Welch and Jeff Buckley her shows weave storytelling and song into collective moments of catharsis carried by her powerful and tender voice. Her debut E.P is set to be released in early 2025.

Quotes from audiences:

Sound healing in its purest form’

‘Like being anointed’

‘She calls us forth, to the path we must walk – to battle, to become, to rise up or to love’.

Eddie trained at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, is a Creative Producer for festivals internationally, trained in Vocal Sound Therapy with Githa Ben-David and has studied at the Roy Hart centre in France.
