Alice Night New Album Crowdfund

Help us pay for guest musicians, mix, master and share this 'Wild Ivy' Album with the world. 

Hi! I'm Alice Night. I've been writing songs and recording for 15 years, and there is so much more to come... The next album is called 'Wild Ivy' and we are recording it this August/September! 

It's time to record the most potent songs that have been written in the last five years! I've been putting it off due to ‘lack of available funds’ and so decided to crowdfund it to make sure it actually happens this year! 

I’ve been working  in cafes to meet the everyday needs of life. I don't have extra money to create an album right now, but I know I need to record an album, hence: crowdfunding! 

I deeply appreciate the momentum that crowdfunding creates and the community accountability to complete and share album projects. 

If you love Alice Night music and live shows and want to be a closely connected to the making of this album, this is how. 

My hope is that some of the offerings in the ticket section light you up and inspire you to support and get involved in this way. My intention is that you receive as we also receive, and we create an album that is an intimate gift to people across the world and across time. And if you don't care about the offerings and just want to support you can gift us studio time too.

The Vision

Alice Night and Ohad Rein are in the studio this August / September to lay down a magical new album. It's playful, folky, raw, real, deep and also includes some pop banger vibes... yup, that's right... Loving it. 

Ohad is leaving for Melbourne after August so we have this particular window of time to make the magic happen. The album will feature local musicians Peter Hunt (trumpet) and Gemma Sylvanspring (vocals.)

Songs that will be recorded include:

Narcissist, Bonnie, Come To Ground, Familiar, Peace Now, Much About Anything, Until We're Done, Hungry, Wild Ivy + others. We're currently choosing between 30 possible songs...

The intention is to allow wild creative energy, explore electronic elements and work with legendary local musicians such as Cye Wood (violin) and Peter Hunt (Trumpet) to bring the songs the life and energy they hold.

This album project will be complete this year (2022) and emailed out to you as a digital download link along with some 'making of' photographs, video footage and writings. 

Wild Ivy will be released to the public when we have funds for publicity later this year and into 2023 (with an accompanying live tour.)

Crowdfund Target

$6,000 - the bare minimum to get this album happening (REACHED!! WOOHOO!)

$8,000 - would help us make even more magic in the studio PLUS Mix the wild beast! 

$10,000 - would help us Master and Promote the album (actually vital)

$13,000 - would help us make some epic video clips 

Funds raised will go towards:

a) studio time and mixing 

b) paying guest musicians, getting a live drummer, violinist etc

b) song mastering (very important)

c) publicity (estimated cost $5000)

d) video clips and photography
