Wild Ivy evokes a nostalgic longing for place and people, inviting sincere reflection while also calling us vividly into the present moment. Romantic in tone, Alice maps a landscape where love is the compass, guiding us deeper into connection with life, land, kinship, and truth. Threaded through the songs are potent invitations to radical honesty and alchemical acceptance. Dutch/Mozambican songwriter and bassist Lito Mabjaia delivers deeply personal songs that delve into vulnerability, the nuances of sensitive masculinity, and the complexities of love. A seasoned international touring bassist, Lito found his voice as a singer-songwriter through a journey of self-therapy, which played a significant role in his recovery from chronic fatigue and burnout. His music beautifully blends folk sensibilities with a jazz-infused melancholy, creating an emotionally resonant and heart-opening experience.
