All About Oaks

Oaks are an important keystone species in DC's forest and street ecosystems. Learn about the various species that grow in the city, how they support a wide range of other living beings, how to identify them, and how they are struggling.

All About Oaks will involve standing and walking up a small hill on a wooded trail. Please reach out with accessibility questions.

This class is offered on a sliding scale-- please read the descriptions and choose the option that is affordable for you. Keep in mind that paying the higher price makes it possible for me to offer the low-income price! BIPOC participants are welcome to choose a lower-paid ticket in recognition that my privilege is based on histories of oppression of these groups, and three free tickets are reserved for low-income BIPOC participants. In case of heavy rain this event will be cancelled (with full refund) or rescheduled (option for refund if you can't make the rain date). If there's light rain / drizzle class will be held on schedule.
