All About Sense & Sensibility with Salon

A new Jane Austen adaptation is coming to cinemas this October, so naturally we had to make a two-part Salon out of it!

We’ll start with a cosy Sense & Sensibility book club, then get together again ten days later for our own private screening of the new film at the Sun Theatre.

PART ONE: BOOK CLUB
Thursday 15 October at 7pm
Dwell, Ascot Vale

We’ll get together for a relaxed evening of drinks, light snacks and plenty of time to chat about Sense & Sensibility.

There’s nothing to prepare other than reading the book (or as much as you manage!). We’ll be discussing the whole novel, so there will be spoilers, but you definitely don’t need to be a Jane Austen expert to join in.
Most importantly, there’ll be plenty of time to settle in, meet everyone and have a good chat.

Drinks and light snacks are included.

PART TWO: THE MOVIE
Sunday 25 October at 2:30pm
Sun Theatre, Yarraville

Ten days later, we’ll meet again at the Sun Theatre, where we’ll have a cinema all to ourselves for a private screening of the new Sense & Sensibility adaptation.

Drinks and movie snacks will be available to purchase at the cinema.

Afterwards, if everyone feels like sticking around, we’ll head somewhere nearby for a drink or pizza and a very informal post movie chat.

Your ticket includes both parts of the event:

• Book club at Dwell on 15 October

• Drinks and light snacks at book club

• Private movie screening at the Sun Theatre on 25 October

The ticket is for the two-part experience, rather than individual events, so please make sure you’re available for both dates before booking. Cinema food and drinks, and anything purchased afterwards, are not included.

Please note: This event requires a minimum number of bookings to go ahead. If we don’t receive enough registrations, the event may be cancelled. In this case, all ticket holders will be notified and receive a full refund.
