All about the foral compost activator method
Event description
Most of 2025 has been spent studying the floral compsot activator method, with heightened emphasis since being accepted to present this work at the International Biodynamic Research Conference to be held at the Royal Agriculture University in England in the first week of September
Improve the quality of your compost
This method first came about in the 1930's as a way of simplifying biodynamics. What's coming to light is that it is its own method separate to biodynamics, and allows for far more experimentation with a much wider range of herbs.
Katrina Wolff from Blue Borage will show how the method works, and share anecdotes of a range of applications using common herbs and flowers.
The results are showing that it is effective in minimising the odour of composting food scraps, while speeding up the process.
Miraculous!
Other advantages of learning to compost using this method:
no need to worry about smelly food scrap buckets
no need to worry about food scraps going to landfill
no need to pay anyone to handle your rubbish
cancel your garden waste collections
stop buying soil in single use plastic at the garden centre
join the growing movement of people creating a 'closed loop' circular system in their gardens, making healthy soil to grow healthy food, thereby saving money at the supermarket.
It's a win-win-win-win sort of solution, and so easy to get started.
